Obituary

Nora L. (Kearns) Waligura, 84, of Manchester, died June 21, 2013 at her home after a brief illness.
She was born in Manchester on October 15, 1928 to John and Mary (Wallace) Kearns, who immigrated from Ireland. She was a lifelong resident of Manchester and attended local schools.
Nora was very proud of her Irish heritage and was a longtime communicant of the former St. Anne Church in Manchester. She enjoyed time spent with her family, especially taking care of her grandchildren while they were growing up.
She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Peter Waligura who died in 2000.
The family includes four children, Kathleen Thomas and her husband, John, of Litchfield, Brenda Gikas and her husband, Stephen, and Peter Waligura and his wife, Megan, all of Manchester, and John Waligura and his wife, Sandra, of Weare; eight grandchildren, Nicholas Gikas, John Gikas, Peter Gikas, Elizabeth Vigneault, Joseph Waligura, Zachary Thomas, Katherine Waligura and Margaret Waligura; and many nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by four siblings, Patrick Kearns, John Kearns, Mary Roberge and Francis Kearns.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
