Obituary

William M. "Bill" Wheildon III, 58, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Monday, June 17, 2013, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, University Campus. He leaves his sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Allan Smith of Union, ME; brother and sister-in-law, Stephen and Donna Wheildon of Clinton, MA; niece, Catherine Wheildon; as well as many cousins and close friends. Born in Boston, he was a son of the late Edla (Johanson) and William Maxwell Wheildon, Jr. He was a graduate of South High School in Framingham and attended UMass Amherst College. Bill was a sound engineer and worked for Hills Sound and Immedia for more than 30 years. He was a very active member of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester where he was involved in working with the homeless. Bill was interested in all sorts of music and sound and also enjoyed entertaining friends and bringing people together.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held Saturday, June 29, 2013, at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 90 Holden Street. Visitation will be held from 2-3pm followed by a memorial service at 3pm. Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Ashland, MA at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Unitarian Universalist Church for the Homeless Ministry or to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden St Worcester MA 01606.
