METHUEN – Edmond E. Genest, 67 of Methuen, passed away peacefully Thursday June 20, 2013 at his home with his loving family by his side.
Born and educated in Methuen, MA, he was the son of Raymond and Dorothy (Morin) Genest and was a graduate of Tenney High School. For 36 years he was a technician with Western Electric and Lucent Technologies in North Andover, MA. After his retirement Edmond was employed as a bus driver for Trombly Bus Company.
He was a member of the Pioneers of America, the Methuen VFW. He also enjoyed playing golf and going to Mohegan Sun.
Edmond leaves his wife of 46 years, Sheila M, (Fisher) Genest of Methuen and is also survived by his two sons, Edmond E. Genest, Jr. of Salem, NH and Richard R. Genest and his wife Tamie of Haverhill, MA
One brother, Raymond Genest and his wife Cathy of Methuen, MA
He also leaves his grandchildren, Andrew, Megan and Bryan Genest and three nephews.
ARRANGMENTS: Memorials can be made in Edmond’s name to the American Cancer Society 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701. Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Tuesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30a.m. in the funeral home with burial to follow in the Elmwood Cemetery also in Methuen.
