Lisa Taylor, 49, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, in McDonough, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, June 23, 2013, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. Interment will follow at 4 PM in the Carver Baptist Church Cemetery, off Highway 441 South, in Douglas, with Tullis Allen officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Taylor was born January 3, 1964, in Albany, Georgia. She is the daughter of Faye Fender Vickers and the late Harvey Vickers, Jr. She graduated from Coffee County High School in 1982 and received her Associates Degree in Business from South Georgia College. She also attended Georgia Southern. She had lived in the community since 1990, moving from Claxton, and was a former secretary for Colony City Finance in Fitzgerald. Lisa was an avid fan of the Fitzgerald High School Baseball & Football Teams. Her favorite past time was watching and supporting her sons while they played sports. She was a member of Arbor Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Harvey Taylor; two sons: Brad Taylor and Matt Taylor, all of Fitzgerald; mother: Faye Vickers of Douglas; brothers-in-law: James & Kim Taylor and Larry & Renea Taylor, all of Fitzgerald. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
