Obituary

WORCESTER – Mrs. Virginia (Cosenza) Gallati ,87, died at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday June 18.
She leaves a son, Anthony Gallati and his wife Nancy; two daughters: Ginger Nelson and her husband, Charles, and Barbara Higgins and her husband Dennis ; three granddaughters: Katherine Gallati, Julianne Higgins and Jenna Higgins; two great grandchildren Anthony Gallati and Lucas Gallati; She also leaves two sisters: Sylvia Gerardi and Jean Cummings; a brother, John Cosenza and his wife Lisa and many nieces and nephews.
Virginia was pre-deceased by her sister, Mary Simmarano, and her identical twin sister, Louise Fulginiti; and a grandson John Francis Gallati
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Nunziato and Angelina (Riggieri) Cosenza. Her husband of fifty-seven years, Bruno F. Gallati predeceased her in March 2006.
She was loved and very appreciated by her family and friends. She was a very caring and helpful person. Her family and home were the joys of her life. She was a great cook who was proud of her many household hints published in the Worcester Telegram. She loved country music and also enjoyed the music her children brought into house from the Beatles. “Hey Jude” was her favorite Beatle song.
She was a long time member of Our Lady of Loreto Parish.
Her funeral will be held Monday June 24th at FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch Street, Worcester, Ma. with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church of Worcester. Burial will be in St John’s Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Sunday, June 23rd from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorial donations may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Loreto Church Building Fund, 33 Massasoit Rd.
