Obituary

Irene M. Lussier Sevigny Richer, 100, died May 8, 2013 at her home in Chandler, Arizona, surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Irene was born in Manchester, New Hampshire, May 20, 1912, the daughter of Clara Paradis Lussier and Jean-Baptiste Lussier. She attended Catholic schools and was a former parishioner of St. Jean-Baptiste Church in Manchester. She owned and managed the North End Variety Store on Elm Street for many years. Irene’s greatest joy was spending time with her loving family and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Emile Richer who died September 14, 1996 and the late Hena Sevigny who died April 2, 1964.
Irene is survived by two sons, Richard Sevigny and his wife Lu of Phoenix, AZ and Donald Sevigny and his wife Deborah of East Moriches, NY; a step-son Norman Richer and his wife Linda of New Braunfels, TX and a step-daughter Raymonde Desrochers and her husband Paul of Manchester, NH; two grandsons, Jay Sevigny of Denton, MD and D.J. Sevigny of Bristol, RI; nine step-grandchildren, Linda Turnbull, Kenneth Desrochers and Daniel Desrochers of Manchester, NH, Donna Camire of Hooksett, NH, Kathy Standish of Merrimack, NH, Darrin Richer of Warwick, RI, Dale Richer of New Braunfels, TX, Christine Stawecki of Bayport, NY, Jennifer Tennant of Manorville NY and fifteen step-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at The Parish of the Transfiguration, formerly St. Jean-Baptiste Church, 305 Kelley St. Manchester, N.H. followed by a burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Manchester.
