Lynda L. (Fitzpatrick) Tallman, age 63, passed away on June 16, 2013 at Baystate Medical Center. She was born on July 25, 1949 in Springfield. She was a daughter of the late Robert T. and Shirley May (Kodes) Fitzpatrick. Lynda worked as a Human Service Coordinator at Hampshire and Springfield Case Management, Department of Mental Health. She received her Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts in 1995. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Basilica. Lynda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed arts and crafts, gardening and debating politics. She is predeceased by her husband John Tallman who passed away in 1999. She leaves one daughter Shirley A. Beauchaine of Cheshire; three sons, Chicopee Patrolman Paul J. Genest (fiancé Veronica Shapiro) of Chicopee, Staff Sgt. Jon P. Tallman (Staff Sgt. Amanda) of Fort Bragg, NC and Matthew P. Tallman of Chicopee; two brothers, Michael Fitzpatrick of Westfield and Thomas Fitzpatrick (Rachel) of Warren; one sister, Sharon Nai (Peter) of Bernardston; five beloved grandchildren, Stevie, Challice, Sydney, Emma and Gavin; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her beloved dog, JJ. Friends and family may call Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 4 -8 p.m. at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A funeral service will be held Friday, June 21, 2013, 9 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Stanislaus Basilica at 10 a.m. with burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
