William Morgan “Billy” Gardiner age 70 of North Weymouth passed away June 17th at the Mass General Hospital. Born and raised in Quincy, Billy attended Thayer Academy and graduated from North Quincy High School. From the age of 15, Billy worked at the family company, C.P. Gardiner & Sons in Quincy as a truck driver and master mechanic until his recent retirement in 2007. He has lived in Weymouth for the last 44 years where he enjoyed his family, home, animals, country music, tools, guitar and motorcycle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Beloved husband of Victoria (Laws) of Weymouth. Loving father of Lesa Gardiner Schofield & her husband John of North Weymouth. Step father of Kimberly Connor of New Bedford & Michael Connor of Randolph. Loving son of the late Theodore and Amy Gardiner. Brother of Marilyn Mahn & her husband Robert of Quincy, Theodore Gardiner and his wife Judith of Weymouth, Donald Gardiner & his wife Paula of Florida, George Gardiner and his wife Louise of Quincy & the late Barbara Pineo. Also survived by his grandsons John W. & Brenden Schofield of North Weymouth and his granddaughter Taylor Tierney of New Bedford and the late Nicole Tierney and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave. Milton Friday from 4-8 pm. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at the funeral home Saturday at 10. Interment North Weymouth Cemetery.
