Carol A. (Raymond) Gifford, 93, of Dartmouth died at home on Sunday June 16, 2013. She was the wife of the late William Gifford.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Alfred O. and Lillian H. (Avery) Raymond, she lived in Fairhaven for many years before moving to Dartmouth.
Mrs. Gifford was formerly employed as a school teacher for the New Bedford Public School Department until her retirement.
She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School. She received her Bachelor's degree from Rivier College, and her Master's degree from Bridgewater State College.
Survivors include several cousins.
She was the sister of the late Gladys L. Raymond.
