Edward A. Zahka of Hull, passed away on June 17, 2013. He was 84 years old.
Edward was born on December 2nd, 1928 in Boston, MA. He lived in Allston as a child and graduated from Boston Trade School in 1946. Shortly after graduating, Edward was drafted into the Army and served as a soldier in the Korean War. He entered hairdressing school upon his honorable discharge from the service and began his career. He married his childhood sweetheart, Gloria Jabbour, on June 14, 1953, with whom he celebrated his 60thwedding anniversary this year. He had a very successful career, first in hairdressing for 17 years, then in the family restaurant business for an additional 17 years. He loved passing the time with family, friends, and relatives, especially at Nantasket Beach. He is survived by his wife Gloria, his daughter Donna Boyle and son-in-law James, his son Edward Zahka Jr. and daughter-in-law Paula, son Wayne Zahka and daughter-in-law Dana, daughter Valerie Chobanian, daughter Deborah Greenstein and son-in-law Charles, and daughter Lisa Cassarino and son-in-law David. He is also survived by his brother Charles, sister Jean, brother Philip, and his sister the late Khouria Vivian. In addition he is survived by 13 grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and countless friends. We will miss him.
Edward's Funeral Service was held June 21, 2013 in the Church of St. John of Damascus, 300 West St. (Rte 135W at Rte 95/128 Exit 17) DEDHAM.

Edward was laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Hyde Park.
