Wilkins, Rev. Nachel V., 86 of Louisville went to be with his Heavenly Father Friday June 14, 2013.
Nachel was a native of Caneyville, KY a U.S. Army veteran of WWII and was one of the ministers at Highview Baptist Church. He had also worked for the old International Harvester Co. for 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie & Nola Wilkins; his 1st wife, Kathleen (Hayse) Wilkins; a son, Charles E. Wilkins.
Survivors include his wife, Jean (Cyrus) Wilkins; three children, Janice Wilkins Snyder (Dan), Marshall Wilkins (Phyliss) & Floyd “Vennie” Wilkins (Jeanie); a step daughter, Debra Cyrus; a sister, Aline Swift; a brother Thirstle Wilkins; seven grandchildren & six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Monday at Highview Baptist Church 7711 Fegenbush Lane with burial in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. and after 11:00 am Monday at Highview Baptist Church.
