Obituary

CHARLTON/ WAYLAND: Walter William “Wally” Jabs, 90, died suddenly on Sunday. June 9, 2013.
He was born in New Britain, CT on January 24, 1923 the son of the late Albert Jabs and Emily (Rinas) Jabs.
He leaves his wife of 62 years Lillian (Pierce) Jabs. Father of Dr. Douglas Jabs and his wife Dr. Ethylin Jabs and their daughter Alexandra; Walter W. Jabs, Jr., Esquire and his son Walter W. Jabs, III; David E. Jabs and his wife Mary Beth Hagen and their daughters Alison and Kindra. Also survived by a brother Fred Jabs and several nieces and nephews.
Wally lived in New Britain, CT in his youth and resided with his family in Wayland and Lincoln before moving to Overlook one year ago and he enjoyed every minute of living there.
He graduated from UConn in Storrs, CT in 1949 with a BS in Business Management. He received his MA in Personnel Psychology and Behavioral Sciences in 1955 from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. Wally served his country proudly during World War II throughout Europe with the United States Army.
A Celebration of his Life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Peace Lutheran Church, 107 Concord Road (Rte 126), Wayland.
In lieu of flowers his family kindly suggests that memorial gifts in Wally’s memory may be sent to the Charlton Masonic Angel Fund, The Overlook, 88 Masonic Home Rd, T 409, Charlton, MA 01507 or the Peace Lutheran Church.
