V. Pauline (Taylor) Rye, 88, of Anderson died June 13, 2013 at Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born June 16, 1924 in Winamac, IN to Charles L. and Melva M. (Tilleston) Taylor.
She was Secretary/Treasurer for Rye Plumbing for 20 years retiring Dec. of 1979.
She was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women Circle and sang in the choir many years. She was a loving mother and wonderful Christian. She was a member of The 13/20 Home Demonstration Club and the Care & Share Club. She enjoyed singing, golfing, reading and sang in Sweet Adeline's.
Survivors include three children, Noble L. (Evelyn) Rye of Louisville, KY; Madaline J. (Bob) Watkins of Anderson and Virginia I. (Danny) Johnson of Alexandria; two brothers, Ralph Taylor of Warren and Paul (Carmen) Taylor of Upland; six grandchildren, Brittany (Bryce) Garrett; Scott Baker; Marshiela (Jim) Scofield; Jennifer (Jack) Hiegel; Noble (Madison) Rye; Jeffrey (Kim) Rye; 20 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Earl Rye; brother Roy Taylor and sister, Alberta Taylor.
Service will be 11 AM on Tuesday, at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. John Hackney and Rev. Gina Kirkland officiating. Visitation will be Monday, June 17, 2013 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Burial in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
