Merna A. Joudrey, 89, of Gorham, NH entered into the Glory of Heaven on Thursday June 13, 2013. She was born in Gorham on July 12, 1923 the daughter of Roger and Ada (Veinotte) Joudrey and was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Gorham High School in 1941 and was a member of the Gorham Methodist Church and the Winthrop Grange. She had been employed as a secretary, mostly at the Engineering Dept., for Brown Company and James River Corp until her retirement in 1985. Merna had been the organist for several churches including the Gorham Methodist Church, the Mt. Forist Methodist Church and St. Paul Lutheran Church.
She was predeceased by brothers Linnis and Alton Joudrey and a sister Myrtle Smith, and leaves behind several nieces and cousins. Merna will deeply be missed and always be loved by her dear friend and guardian Bunny as well as the compassionate and caring girls from North Country Angels who filled her last years with so much joy, laughter and love.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday June 19, 2013 at 11 AM at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham. Interment will be in the Lary Cemetery in Gorham. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM. Donations may be made to a charity of ones choice or to a humane society in her memory.
