Maryann Keating, age 54 of Abington formerly of Brockton, died Monday June 10, 2013 under the care of hospice. She was born in Brockton the loving daughter of Theresa L. (Scrocco) Keating of Brockton and the late John P. Keating, Jr. (ret BFD). She had been a resident of Brockton for most of her life before moving to Abington six years ago to reside in a Growthway group home.
Maryann attended Brockton Schools and had been a member of GROW in Randolph and Avon and previously BAARC in Brockton. She will be remembered as a people person who was outgoing and very sociable. Maryann loved music, dancing and vacations at Pinehurst Beach.
In addition to her mother she leaves three brothers John J. Keating (ret. BFD) and his wife Desyle of Whitman, William F. Keating (ret. BFD) of Quincy and Thomas E. Keating (BPD) and his wife Kathy of Bridgewater. She was the aunt of Dennis, Maureen, Mack and Karlie Keating and the late Sharon and Tana Keating.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday from 4-7 pm. Her Funeral Service and burial in the Mass National Cemetery with her father will be private.
