Evans, D. Keith Jr., 66, of Louisville was found by an angel who heralded his passage into paradise!
Those there to greet him were his grandparents, Anne “Mom Maw” and Angus “Pop Paw” Evans, his parents Margie (Hornback) and Delbert Evans, his sister Marsha Heath, a grandson Justine Whobrey, Niece Sofia Angeles and nephew Jamie Boarders.
Left to forever mourn his loss; is his devoted wife of 33 years Theresa (Zoeller) Evans: He so loved children, anyone’s children but especially his daughter, Denise Reyes, his grandchildren, Tara Whobrey, Brandon Wathen (Katlin) and Blake Hernandez and his great grandchildren, MaKayla Whobrey, Kyler, Ky’Ann and the new baby due in October Wathen; He also loved two nieces as if they were his own, Jessica Houchens and Teressa Angeles, his sisters, Donna Evans, Sondra Mattingly (Mike) and Terry Jo Whittaker, and all their families; his in-laws, all of their children and of course all of his brothers and sisters in Christ.
He worked at General Electric as a tool and die maker for over 30 years. Graduated from U of L Law School in 1985 and continued in his practice until he passed peacefully in his sleep near the end of a blessed ACTS retreat weekend. “I will praise you, LORD, for you have rescued me” psalm 30:1. He was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church with a deep connection to St. Paul Church.
A funeral mass will be held 10:00 am Friday at Incarnation Catholic Church 2229 Lower Hunters Trace with burial in St Andrews Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 Thursday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy.
