Raynham, James "Sonny" T. Leonard a lifetime Taunton resident passed away on June 7, 2013 at Life Care Center of Raynham after a brief illness. He was 73 years of age. He was born in Taunton Ma son of the late George and Gertrude (Mott) Leonard. Mr. Leonard was an avid NASCAR racing fan and loved greyhounds. He is survived by three sons, James Leonard of Boston, Thomas Leonard of Taunton, and Scott Leonard of Mashpee, one daughter Joyce Leonard Ricketts of Taunton, six sisters Carol Carrier, Beverly Spearin, Janice DeAmoura, Jaqueline Moniz, Donna Rusk, and Deborah Cardin all of Taunton. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and nieces and nephews. His funeral services will be private.
