Obituary

Harry A. Pratt, 79, of Salem, formerly of Danvers, died Saturday evening at the Hunt Nursing & Rehab. Center in Danvers following a lengthy illness. He was the loving husband of Kathleen (Connelly) Pratt.
Born on July 13, 1933, he was the son of the late Harry and Wilhelmina (Semas) Pratt. Harry served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War.
For twenty-eight years, Harry was employed by the Town of Danvers as the mechanic for the Danvers Police Department.
A longtime active communicant of Saint Alphonsus Church, he was dedicated to his family and his work.
In addition to his wife he leaves four sons and their spouses, two daughters, several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2013 at 9AM in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Puritan Lawn Memorial Park, Peabody. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Thursday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Northeast Animal Shelter, 347 Highland Ave., Salem, MA 01970.
