Maureen A. Lafferty, 69, of New Bedford died June 9, 2013 at Sacred Heart Home after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Joseph B.C. and Marie Simonne (Robert) Lafferty, she lived in New Bedford all of her life.
She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
Miss Lafferty was employed by Eye Health Associates and was previously employed by Pediatrics Associates for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and quilting.
Survivors include 2 brothers, Michael Lafferty and his wife Margaret of Dartmouth and Stephen Lafferty and his wife Debra of New Bedford; 2 sisters, Barbara Parnell and her husband Jasper of Dartmouth and Patricia Dreher of New Bedford; 11 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was the sister of the late Joseph Lafferty and Robert Lafferty and the sister-in-law of the late Bruce Dreher.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, June 12th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday, June 11th from 5-8 PM.
