Obituary

Fryar, James Francis II, age 71, of Plymouth died at Jordan Hospital on June 5 surrounded by family and friends. Beloved husband of Jeanne (Masone) Fryar of Plymouth. Loving father of Ryan and his wife Christina of Plymouth and Erin Scully and her husband Michael of N. Andover. Grandfather of Shaun, Emma, Caitlin, and Luke Scully and Cameron Fryar. He also leaves 3 sisters Wendy Longo and her husband Frank of Plymouth, Paula Swartz of FL, and Edwina Haglof of Brockton and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was born in Boston, the son of Paul and Edwina Fryar. He grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School, Class of 1960. Jim joined the U.S. Navy and served during the Vietnam era. He was a Retired Captain for Barnstable County House of Correction. He enjoyed history especially Maritime and Naval History. He loved spending time with family and friends, and lived a full and happy life “his way”.
Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Road (Rte 3A) Plymouth (Manomet) on Sunday June 9, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Bonaventure Parish, 803 State Road, Plymouth on Monday June 10 at 10:00 AM, leaving from the funeral home at 9:00 AM. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne MA. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
