Derek Matthew Packard, 18, went to be with our Lord Jesus, June 5, 2013.
Derek was born on June 15, 1994 in Fort. Collins, Colorado to Richard W. and Kelly (Spaulding) Packard.
He was a full time student; attended Madison Park Church of God and was a member of Colorado Christian University's men's golf team.
Survivors include his parents, his brother, Evan Packard of Anderson; his paternal grandparents, John (Geneva) Packard of Kalamazoo, MI; and maternal grandmother, Marrianne Spaulding of Nashport, OH; two great grandmothers, Eileen Spaulding and Rosemary
McCollum; aunts: Kyndra Packard of Brownsburg, IN and Kim (Kent) Shumaker of Oxford, MI; cousins, Andrew, Cody, Cole and Titus Shumaker of Oxford, MI.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Spaulding.
Service will be held 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 10, at Madison Park Church of God with Dr. Rolland Daniels officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 9 from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the church. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Anderson University Football.
