Worcester, MA - Anne C. (Bokis) Giannino, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013, at the age of 90. She was employed as private secretary for the Stroll-O-Chair Distributorship for 15 years before her retirement. She leaves her husband of 46 years, Alfred Giannino; a son Jay Iadarola of Medway, a daughter Valerie Morin of CA; a son Guy Iadarola; and 3 grandsons. A brother Michael Bokis and a sister Helen Hamilton predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Frances (Truchan) and Francis Bokis and lived here most of her life. She was a Charter Member and long-time President of the American Legion Auxiliary U.S.S. Old Ironsides #423 and a Past District Director of Worcester County (1984) and was presently a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Tatnuck #288. She was a loyal volunteer for 20 years as an Auxiliary Sponsor, assisting at the Boston Veterans Hospital Xmas Gift Shoppe and locally at the Worcester State Hospital Xmas parties and the Bingo parties at the former Belmont Home.
At her request, there will be no funeral services and burial will be private. Nordgren Memorial Chapel of Worcester is directing arrangements.
