Jonell Davis Garrett, age 82, of Broxton, GA passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Community Hospice, in Vidalia, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Garrett was born on November 14, 1930, in Nicholls, GA to the late Joe Davis and Linnie Gillis Davis.
Survivors include: her two daughters: Malinda William (Steve) Brown of Vidalia, GA and Wanda Williams (Rodney) Mobley of West Green, GA, son: Joel Ray (Mishelle) Williams, Sr. of Broxton, GA, two stepchildren: Dan (Carol) Garrett of Atlanta, GA and Janice Garrett (David Corbin, of Tampa, FL, brother: Jurell Davis of Andalusia, AL, ten grandchildren: Craig Brown, Amber Botelho, Blake Brown, Brandon Mobley, Lindsay Hutcheson, Joel Ray Williams, Jr., Jo Beth Griffin, Jordon Williams, Zachary Williams, and Anna Laura Williams, and two step grandchildren: Jenifer Corbin and Chris Corbin. She is preceded in death by a sister: Laverne Davis Tanner.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church with Rev. Shep Johnson and Rev. Joseph Lee officiating. Entombment will be in the Dixie Mausoleum in the Douglas City Cemetery.
