Evans, GA---Mrs. Mary Lou Arrington, 96, entered into rest on Friday, May 31, 2013 at the Davis Personal Care Home.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 in the Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Reverend Oscar McGee officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 pm at the Wrens Memorial Cemetery, Wrens, Georgia.
Mrs. Arrington was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. However, her proudest achievement was her work for the Lord. She was a licensed Assembly of God minister and taught Sunday School for 75 years. She also played piano and organ for several churches.
She was the wife of the late, Rufus W. Arrington, daughter of the late, Miller DuBose and Kate Watkins Holton. She was also preceded in death by her son, Charles Edward Arrington, one great grandson and sisters, Kate H. Marino and Dorothy H. Smith.
She is survived by her son, Donald Rufus Arrington, daughter, Rebecca A. Tanner (Ronald), six grandchildren, two step grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made, in Mrs. Arrington’s name, to the Jubilee Fellowship Church, 2034 Boykin Rd., Hephzibah, GA 30815.
