William (Bill) Isenberg died peacefully at McCarthy House in Sandwich on June 3, 2013 after a well lived 82 years. Bill has gone to see his beloved Polly who passed away in January. They were married 61 years and he just couldn’t go on without her.
Bill loved entertaining his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially during summers at his home on Stetson Pond. He is survived by three children: Paula Connolly and her husband Martin of Sandwich, daughter Deby Carlson and her husband Peter of Franklin, and son Bill Isenberg, and his wife Lori of Taneytown, Maryland; his grandchildren Ryan Connolly and wife Stephanie, Dana Robinson and husband Scott, Nikolas Carlson and wife Kristen, Beth Carlson, Abby Isenberg, Katelyn Isenberg, and Christine Isenberg; and great-grandchildren Ava Connolly, Callie Robinson and Abigail Carlson; his sister Shirley Bowman, his brother David Isenberg, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bill had an adventurous spirit and loved life. During his long career in the shoe business he worked in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland and completed his career working for Reebok International in Thailand. While in the far east Bill and Polly traveled extensively and had wonderful excursions in Thailand, Australia, Hawaii and many other countries in southeast Asia.
He was an avid golfer and was always on the go. He was an active member of the Pembroke Dull Men’s Club, Pembroke Watershed Association and Pembroke Country Club.
Visiting hours will be held on June 4th from 4-7:00 PM at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main Street, (Rt. 106) Kingston. Burial will be private.
