TEWKSBURY - Lois M. (Van Horne) Landry, age 73, a resident of Tewksbury for 54 years, died Sunday, June 2, at Lowell General Hospital, Saint’s Campus. She was the beloved wife of Lawrence J. Landry, with whom she had celebrated a 53rd wedding anniversary this past August 2nd.
Lois was born in Boston, September 11, 1939, a daughter of the late Harold F. and Martha (Muse) Van Horne, was raised in Lynnfield, and graduated from Wakefield High School with the Class of 1957. She went on to attend Salem State College. Prior to retirement in 2004, she was employed by Hartshorne Insurance Company in Wakefield.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
Lois is survived by five children, Michelle Lesperance and her husband Daniel of Columbia, NH, Peter Landry and his wife Karen (Denham) of Tewksbury, Annette Landry of Tewksbury, Juilette DesMarais and her husband Evan of Tewksbury, Keith Landry and his wife Donna (Stefanidakis) of Chelmsford; three grandchildren, Rebecca, Joseph, and Christopher of Chelmsford; a brother, Robert Van Horne and his wife Corinne (Longo) of Las Vegas, NV; two sisters, Susan Brems and her husband Phil of The Villages, FL, Jean Fulton of Maui, HI; many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, June 6, in St. William’s Church, Tewksbury. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No. Tewksbury. Memorials to the Wakefield Sons of Italy, Scholarship Fund, c/o Paula Sasso, 30 Bear Hill Rd., Stoneham, MA 02180, will be appreciated.
