WORCESTER-Lillian B. (Wright) McCullough, 92, of Chadwick St. formerly of 14 Whipple St. died Sunday, Aug. 15th in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Robert J. McCullough died in 1997. She leaves a son, Robert B. McCullough of Princeton; 3 daughters, Carolyn M. wife of Howard R. Merson of Oxford, Elinor J. wife of Dana E. Stoddard of Worcester, Beverly A. Robbins of Leominster; 2 brothers, John Wright of Worcester and Robert Wright of Leicester; a sister, Mae Bell of San Juan, CA; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A sister, Elizabeth Wright and a daughter-in-law, Joan (Fraser) McCullough predeceased her.
She was born in Clinton daughter of John and Mary (McCullough) Wright and lived in Worcester for many years. She was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church and once served as the church treasurer. Mrs. McCullough was the former president of the United Presbyterian Women and currently was a member of the Lydia Circle. She and her husband also managed Camp Wilmot, a Presbyterian Camp, in Wilmot, NH for 23 years.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Aug. 18th at 10:00 a.m. in the First Presbyterian Church, 125 Holden St. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17th in LINDQUIST LUNDIN FUNERAL HOME, 36 Butler St. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Presbyterian Church, 125 Holden St., Worcester, MA 01606.
