Steven L. Fortin, 52, of Fairhaven died May 30, 2013 unexpectedly at Massachusetts General Hospital.
He was the husband of Helene M. (LaFountain) Fortin.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the son of Lawrence E. and Doris T. (Brunette) Fortin of Acushnet, he lived in Fairhaven most of his life.
Mr. Fortin was employed as a roofer with the Roofer and Waterproofers Union Local #33.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and working in his yard.
Survivors include his wife; his parents; 4 sons, Jason Fortin, Michael Fortin and Frederick Crane, all of New Bedford and Clifford Crane and his wife Tara of East Taunton; 2 brothers, Kenneth Fortin and Troy Fortin, both of New Bedford; a sister, Judy Areano of Wareham; 10 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Tuesday, June 4th at 10 AM. Funeral Service in Grace Episcopal Church at 11 AM. Visiting hours Monday, June 3rd from 4-8 PM.
