Francis G. "Frank" Egan, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, entered into eternal life on Friday, May 31, 2013 at Medford Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Medford following a lengthy illness. He was 87 years old.
Frank was born in Boston on April 25, 1926, a son of the late Francis G. Egan and Winetta W. (Maguire) Egan. He grew up in Charlestown where he attended the Boston Public School system. Frank worked several years as an usher at a local movie theatre.
Frank is the beloved son of the late Francis G. Egan and Winetta W. (Maguire) Egan. He is the devoted brother of Helen Costa and her husband Anthony of Boston, Dorothy Pfennig of New York and the late Thomas Curran, Lillian Brown and Robert Egan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Frank's visiting hours on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 10 A.M. to 12 Noon followed by his Funeral Service at 12 Noon in The Carr Funeral Home, 220 Bunker Hill St. Charlestown. Interment is private.
