Joseph J. Eno, age 84, passed away on May 29, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center. He was born on Dec. 1, 1928 in Bellows Falls, VT. He was a son of the late Charles and Theresa (DeNuzzi) Eno. Joseph served in the US Army during the Korean War. He later worked as a freight conductor for the former Boston and Maine Rail Road Co. in Springfield for many years before he retired. He was a communicant of the former St George Church and Mary Mother of Hope Church. He leaves his loving wife Wanda M. (Ward) Eno of Chicopee; 2 sons, Joseph M. Eno of Springfield and Matthew Eno and his wife Patricia of RI; 4 daughters, Dara Chesnes of Chicopee, Kathleen Eno and her partner Robert McCormick of Springfield, Laura Eno of Springfield and Leslie Eno of Springfield; 2 brothers, Charles and James Eno, both of VT; 1 sister Jeanette Lafoe of CT; 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother John Eno. Joseph loved trips to the beach. He was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed fishing and loved animals. He was a member of the former American Legion Post 353. Visiting hours will be held on Mon., June 3, 2013 from 10:30-11:30 A.M at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. Funeral services will be private for family.
