Florence Bailey Ouellette was born in Waterbury, Vermont on December 13, 1935. She was a daughter of the late William Francis Bailey and Betsey Almira Devoy. Florence passed away on May 31, 201 at Rockingham County Nursing Home.
Flo as she was known to most served as Derry’s Animal Control Officer for 26 years because of her love for animals. Previously working at Raytheon and Sanders decided she preferred the outdoors and took up chasing dogs. She had a love for Elvis and had a large collection of his memorabilia, Flo love to go traveling in her RV with her husband Norman, stopping along the way at the many antique shops where she also collected depression glass and other knick-knacks that caught her fancy. Flo started riding a motorcycle in 1968 and enjoyed her many rides through the White Mountains as well as trips into Canada over the years. She made many friends along the way thru life and will be missed by all who knew her friendly attitude, intelligence and wit.
Flo was pre-deceased by her husband Normand Ouellette of Londonderry and brother Robert Bailey of Vermont. She leaves behind her daughter Marlene Bishop of Raymond, son Joe O'Leary of Londonderry and 6 brothers and sisters, two step brothers and step sister in Vermont and many, many nieces and nephews.
At her specific request she will be cremated, there will be no calling hours or funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant Street, Watertown, Massachusetts 02472 or to SolAmor Hospice, 65 Lafayette Road, N. Hampton, New Hampshire 03862.
