Augusta, GA---Mrs. Edith Lovingood Ashmore, wife of the late Mr. Wade Ashmore, entered into rest at University Hospital on Thursday, May 30, 2013.
A native of Elizabethton,Tennessee. She was a resident of St. John Towers in August, GA. Mrs. Ashmore was a faithful member of Curtis Baptist Church, a member of the Happy 39ers, The Catherine Lillard Sunday School Class. She was also a member of Dorothy Walton Eastern Star 490, Homer Legg, Lincolnton, Georgia and Mother Advisor with the Dorothy Walton Rainbow Girls.
A Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at Happy Valley Memorial Park, Elizabethton, TN.
Mrs. Ashmore is survived by two daughters, Carole E. Gazette, (Tony) and Ellen R. Kirby, (Carl), four grandchildren, Dan Martin, (Sheila), Ken Martin (Keith), Billy Kirby (Erin), Catherine Braden (Martin), five great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 3 - 5 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
