Velma M. Stover Haynes
September 23, 1912- May 30, 2013

Velma M. Stover Haynes, "Granny" 100, of Anderson died on May 30, 2013 at her home following a brief illness. She was born on September 23, 1912 in Upland, the daughter of Andrew and Effie (Jenkins) Stover. She owned and operated Haynes Bicycle Shop for 25 years and was also a housewife . She was a member of New Horizons United Methodist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and visiting with friends.

Survivors include her 3 children: Donald Bruce (Sue) Haynes of Anderson, Margaret JoAnn (Steve) Smith of Daleville, and Roger A. Haynes of Knightstown. 7 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Special niece and nephew, Rhea and Robin Stover, Special friends, Beulah Hall, Jane Mills, Jinny & Jim Hunt, Betty Deck, Carl and Judy Moffitt, Mickey and Janet Lawson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Haynes, a son, Phillip Haynes, a grandson, Darin Smith, a brother, Ralph Stover, a sister, Ruth Howell, and her parents.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 4-8 PM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service and also one hour before the funeral at the church on Wednesday.
Services will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 10 AM at New Horizon United Methodist Church in Anderson, officiated by Pastors Gina Kirkland and Steve Holdzkom. Burial will follow in Matthews Cemetery in Matthews Indiana.
