Obituary

EDGEWATER, FL – Ann S. (Przybyla) Lefebvre, 71, of Edgewater, FL and a longtime resident of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. She passed into Eternal Life with her loving husband, Richard, by her side at Rex Health Care in Raleigh, North Carolina after being stricken ill on a flight from Florida. She was born in Springfield on March 9, 1942, a beloved daughter of the late Frank J. and Angie A. (Kania) Przybyla. She was raised on Bonner Street in the Willimansett section of Chicopee, graduated in 1959 from Chicopee High School and was a longtime resident of the city before moving to Edgewater, Florida in April of 2012. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Our Lady of the Elms College in Chicopee and a Master’s Degree in Education from Westfield State University. She was employed for 35 years as a teacher for the Chicopee School Department at Bowie, Chapin and the Selser Schools. Active in her faith, she was a former communicant of Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Willimansett where she sang in the church choir and a communicant of Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Aldenville. She was a loving woman who adored her family and showered them with her affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She leaves the love of her life, her husband, Richard J. “Dick” Lefebvre. They were married on November 11, 1967 at Saint Anthony of Padua Church in Willimansett and were blessed with over 45 years of happiness together. She also leaves her three loving daughters, Lena A. Perez, Laura A. Romano and Lisa A. Lefebvre, all of Chicopee; her ten cherished grandchildren, Hector, Jr., Jamie, Alexandria, and Alia Perez, Taylor and Nico Romano, Joseph and Jeremy Chagnon, Stephen O’Brien and Zenaida Cintron; her two cherished great grandchildren, Emma Perez and Charles Santiago; her brother, Frank J. Purnell and his wife, Nancy, of The Villages, FL; her dear sister-in-law of the Lefebvre family, Arline Dobosz and her husband, Arthur, of Edgewater, FL; and her many dear nephews and nieces. Her funeral will be held on Monday morning, June 3, 2013 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery Street, Chicopee, MA 01013. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 2, 2013 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family has requested that memorial donations be made in her memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, (Springfield), 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
