Mark A. Young of Natick died on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at the Metro West Medical Center in Framingham. He was 59 years of age.
Born on January 23, 1954, in Framingham, he was a son of the late Robert C. & Elizabeth H. (Webb) Young. He was raised in Natick and a 1972 graduate of Natick High School. Mr. Young lived all but a few years in Natick and worked as a store manager with Knapp Foods, Inc. of Newton and then with the B & M Tree Service of Ashland for fifteen years and finally in 2006 worked for SV Fay Coppersmiths of Natick.
Mark enjoyed fresh water fishing for Bass, crafting lures and his annual Thanksgiving week hunting trip to Maine with his friends and his eldest son for many years and recently his younger son joining the trip the last few seasons.
He was the devoted husband of Suzanne “Sue” (Cooper) Young with whom he shared eighteen years of marriage. He was the loving father of Joshua Young & his wife Ana of Westborough, Jessica Young of Dedham & Benjamin Young of Natick. Cherished grandfather of Maya Young of Westborough. Brother of Robert Young & his wife Debbie of California & brother of Sherri Dennett & her husband Mark of Falmouth. Caring son-in-law of Joan Cooper of Uxbridge. Brother-in-law of Robert Cooper of Milton, Therese Cooper & her husband Paul LaPan of Uxbridge & Jeanne Cooper Parente of Cranston, Rhode Island. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and close friends Frank Travers, Gary Doucette, Donald “DC” Cerulo, Tim Perry and Steve Fay.
A memorial service will be held in the John Everett & Sons Funeral Home, 4 Park St., at Natick Common on Saturday, June 8th at 2:00 PM. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Sherborn.
