Ernest B. Waite, 94, of Westport died Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. He was the husband of the late Emelda R. (Beaulieu) Waite.
Born in Westport, son of the late Norman A. and Rachel F. (Gifford) Waite, he was a lifelong resident of Westport. He was the owner/operator of Arrowhead Farm and Waite’s Garage. Mr. Waite was an avid story teller and was a member of the former Horseman’s Association of Dartmouth.
Survivors include 2 daughters: Janice DeVillers of Westport and Sharon Andrade of Westport; 4 grandchildren: Gregg and Joel Andrade, Julie Manley and Ernest deVillers; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was brother of the late Edward A. Waite, Gertrude Taylor and Agnes Wiseman.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, June 3, 2013 at the Allen’s Neck Friends Meeting, Dartmouth at 10:00 A.M.
Calling hours Sunday 5 - 7 P.M. at the Potter Funeral Home.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
