Obituary

Francis X. ”Frank” Howell, 63, of Blackstone died May 28 at his home with his loving wife Donna by his side, after a long illness.
Born in Charlestown, March 12, 1950, the son of the late Thomas J. and Anna (Macomber) Howell, he was the foster son of the late John and Ann Arbo of Franklin.
Mr. Howell was raised and lived in Franklin prior to moving to Blackstone.
He was a graduate of Franklin High School, Class of 1969.
Mr. Howell had worked as a relief operator for the Saint Gobain Corporation for 34 years before retiring in 2012.
Frank wants to express special thanks to the staff and wonderful people at Dana Farber, Milford and the hospice for their help and kindness during this difficult time.
He is survived by his wife Dolores “Donna” (Squires) Howell, and his step children, Juan Colon of Boston and the late Joann Donovan of Bellingham.
His also survived by his siblings, Thomas and his wife Maryann of Medford, Michael and his wife Jolene of Quincy, Albert and his wife Donna of Bradley, Illinois, Kenneth and his wife Karen of North Ft. Myers, Florida, Paul of Winter Springs, Florida, Carol Dinan of Saugus and Ann Marie Howell of East Boston.
He was the brother of the late William Howell.
His funeral will be held on Tuesday June 4 from the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 131 Main Street in Franklin at 9:15 a.m. followed by funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church at 10:00.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
Calling hours will be on Monday from 5-8 p.m.
