Rosaline Powell Alexander, 76, of Forest Park, formerly of Tifton, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Bob Payne will officiate with burial to follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Martin Alexander, Ray Flowers, Denzil Harrell, Donnie Harrell, Rodney Harrell and Roy Kitchens will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 1, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Alexander was born on March 12, 1937 in Worth County and was the daughter of Havard Powell and Etheleen Hancock Powell, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Royce “Bo” Alexander, who died in 2004; one grandson, Martin W. Alexander, Jr.; and two sisters. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Jonesboro.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by one son, Martin W. “Marty” Alexander, Sr. of San Antonio, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Ray Flowers of Jonesboro; three granddaughters, Kerri Flowers, Andrea Flowers and Angie Alexander Morey; and ten brothers and sisters.
