Methuen — Richard E. Lemelin, 55, of Methuen passed away on Saturday, May 25, in Nashua, N.H., at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Methuen, son of the late Emile J. and Therese M. (Coderre) Lemelin. Richard was a graduate of Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical High School, Class of 1976.
In his free time, Richard enjoyed his pickup truck and working on cars and trucks, music, movies, and the latest electronics. Most of all, Rich enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends, especially his grandnieces and grandnephews. Richard was employed for many years at Northland Industrial Truck Co. (NITCO) of Wilmington, Mass. Prior to that, he was employed by Wang Laboratories. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers, and Helpers.
Richard is survived by three sisters, Elaine B. Hayes and her husband, Stephen, of Methuen, Joyce D. Morelle of Derry, N.H., Susan I. Perkins of Methuen; as well as nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Tracey, Keith, Melissa, Dawn, Heather, and Jeffrey, and several grandnieces and grandnephews, who loved him dearly.
ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends may call Thursday, May 30, from 4 to 7 p.m., at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, 233 Lawrence Street, Methuen, Mass. A service will be held immediately following the calling hours at 7 p.m., in the funeral home.
