Obituary

Betty C. (Cutshall) Allman, 87, of Manchester, died May 24, 2013 at home after a period of declining health.
She was born on August 31, 1925 in Woodsboro, MD, the daughter of Gail and Cora (Webster) Cutshall.
She was educated in the Woodsboro Elementary School and Frederick High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in science from The College of William and Mary in Virginia.
She resigned her position with the Chemical Corps, Department of the Army at Camp Detrick, Maryland in 1951 when she married her husband Edward Lee Allman.
Betty and Ed lived in Maryland, New Jersey and in 1961 moved to New Hampshire.
Betty was a member of Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Brookside Congregation Church. Betty and Ed had the opportunity to enjoy world travel and visited many countries as well as all 50 states.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Edward L. Allman of Manchester. She was also the proud parent of Steven Allman and his wife Jacqueline Allman of Canterbury, NH, and Gail Cole and her husband Thomas Cole of Bainbridge Island, Washington. She was a loving grandmother to Samantha, Katie, Eli and Mathias Allman and Cora and Abe Cole.
A memorial service was held on Friday, May 31, 2013 in Brookside Congregational Church, Elm St, Manchester. A reception followed in the Manning House.
