Angela “Angie” Margaret Phillips Jones, 46, of Tifton died Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Golden Living Center. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals. Rev. Keith Burch and Rev. Paul Anderson will officiate with burial to follow in Salem Memorial Gardens. Roy Cooper, Ray Cooper, Randy Kilpatrick, Chris Shiver, Levi Webb, Joe Griner, Michael Hogan and Bubba Yawn will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Phillips, Steve Webb, Neal Wiley, Curtis Woodard, Narce Avery and Harris Rowe. The family will receive friends on Monday, May 27, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Jones was born on February 8, 1967 in Tifton and was the daughter of Mary Margaret Woodard Phillips of Tifton and the late Lowell M. Phillips. In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Franklin Woodard; and her paternal grandparents, Lewis M. Phillips and Nadine Baggett Phillips Cherry. She was a homemaker and a substitute teacher for several years. She was a member of Son Rise Chapel Church of God of Prophecy in Tifton.
In addition to her mother, Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband, Ronnie Jones of Tifton; one daughter, Angela Christine “Christy” Jones of Tifton; one son, Ryan Keith Jones of Tifton; one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Wayne “Kenny” and Michelle Hogan Phillips of Enigma; one sister and brother-in-law, Selina Dianne and David A. Burney of Tifton; her maternal grandmother, Mary Iona Woodard of Tifton; and nine nieces and nephews, Lindsey and Tristan Cothren, Raina Grace Cothren, Austin Griner, David Cole Burney, Jordan Phillips, Aubrey Phillips, McKenzie Burney, Alex Hogan and Brinleigh Hogan.
