Christine Rainwater, 93 of Louisville went home Thursday May 23, 2013.
She was born in Switzerland County Indiana, December 26, 1919. She was a member of the Prairie Village Church of Christ for 44 years. She retired from J.C. Penny’s in 1984 where she had worked for 21 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years Warren G. Rainwater; parents Edward and Pearl Brooks; brother Edward Earl Brooks and sister Virginia Vanosdol.
Survivors include son Charles W. Rainwater; Sharron K. Dillon (Don); granddaughters Teressa M. Taylor (Louie); and Vanessa R. Scott (Randy); great-granddaughters Jessica and Alyssa Scott and Jillian Taylor. Sister Leota Dickerson; brother and sister-in-law Jerry and Gleda Brooks; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ray and Gaila Rainwater; and sister-in-law Anna banks Rainwater and a host of nieces, nephews and many friends and Brethern.
We will all miss this wonderful woman.
Her funeral will be 2 pm Tuesday at Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy, with burial at Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 4pm to 8pm and after 12pm day of service
