Virginia (Perry) Levesque, age 79 of Tiverton, passed away May 23, 2013 at the Home & Hospice Care Center, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Henry J. Levesque for 56 years. Born in Taunton and raised in Dighton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph A. Perry, born in Fayal, São Miguel, Açores and Philomena (Rogers) Perry, born in Dighton, MA. Her husband Henry would always say “He only had eyes for her”
Prior to retiring, Virginia worked as a bookkeeper at Durfee-Buffington Insurance Co. for 45 years. She was a parishioner of Holy Ghost Church, a devoted supporter of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, enjoyed playing the piano, camping, painting, and crocheting. In her last days, Virginia enjoyed crocheting blankets for her granddaughters. She also loved animals, especially her dogs.
In addition to her husband, Virginia is survived by her children: Christopher Gerard Levesque (wife Diane) of Tiverton, Mary Ann Walker (husband Russell J.) of Warwick, Yvonne Souza (husband David M.) of Swansea, and Jeannine L. Witham (husband Jason W.) of Warwick; grandchildren: Amanda, Adam, Kristen, Karissa, William, Justin, Lyuba, & Nadya; her brother: Francis Perry of Lakeville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. She was the sister of the late Joseph A. Perry Jr. & Richard R. Perry.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on TUESDAY at 8:45 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Ghost Church, Tiverton at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
