In Raynham, May 23, 2013 Arthur J. Lefaivre Jr., age 86 passed away peacefully in the Life Care Center of Raynham following a lengthy period of failing health. Arthur was born in Dighton, the son of the late Arthur Sr. & Helen (Lacerda) Lefaivre. He was educated in Dighton schools. Arthur served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He was employed for the Harodite Co. as a machine operator for 50 years. Arthur enjoyed the Red Sox, vacationing in Maine, gardening and sharing his vegetables and flowers with friends and family and attending meat raffles at the Atlantic Café. Arthur leaves his siblings; Elizabeth Medeiros & her husband Lawrence of Taunton, Audrey Motta & her husband Anthony of Taunton, Janice Terry & her husband Charles of North Dighton and Janet Whitmore of North Dighton and her late husband Walter. Arthur also leaves several nieces and nephews and many close friends. A funeral home service will be held at the O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, MA 02780 on Wednesday, May 29th at 11 am. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Tuesday from 6-8 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Somerset.
