Donald B. Kelley, Jr., 79, of Derry, NH, died Thursday May 23, 2013 in the Parkland Medical Center in Derry. He was born in Lynn, MA on May 11, 1934, a son of the late Donald and Mabel (McAskil) Kelley, Sr. A resident of Derry for the past two years, he formerly lived in Londonderry and Hampton Falls, NH. Mr. Kelley was a US Air Force veteran. He retired in 1988 from General Electric in Lynn, MA after more than 20 years. Mr. Kelley was an avid bowler when he was younger and was a holder of the world record five man team for the highest string ever bowled "220".
He is survived by his wife of 22 years Shirley (Jipson) Kelley of Derry; one son, Timothy Kelley of Leominster, MA; five stepchildren, Susan Matheson of Hudson, NH, Carol Bruzzese of Lynn, MA, Glen Deveau of Sandown, NH, Wanda Deveau-Rogers of Hampstead, NH, and Lynn Deveau of Chapel Hill, NC; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Regan of Hudson; as well as one nephew.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 29th from 3 – 6pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Funeral services will follow in the funeral home at 6:00pm.
