Albert P. Zaniboni age 88 of Canton passed away at home surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born in Boston, he was raised in Hyde Park and graduated from Hyde Park High. After his senior year he enlisted in the Army during WW II and landed on Omaha Beach during the Normandy Invasion on D Day. After returning from the war he married Dorothy and began a marriage that lasted 66 years. A longtime member of Local # 4 Operating Engineers, he was a master mechanic, equipment operator and superintendant for A.A. Will Corporation for many years before becoming the Assistant Director of Public Works for the Town of Milton. After retiring he enjoyed gardening and harness racing as a horse owner and trainer as well as owning and caring for several horses during his lifetime. Beloved husband of Dorothy A. (Dugan) Father of John A. of Stoughton, William E. of Mansfield, Nancy Sullivan of Norwood & Jean Douglass of Marshfield. Brother of Dolores Hufnagel of Hyde Park and the late Ida Spencer, Anna Sullivan, Celia Sparrow, Mary Hubbard, Louis, William and Emile Zaniboni.
