Edward C. Lachapelle, 55, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Betsy J. (Shulman) Lachapelle for 22 years.
Born in Smithfield, he was a son of Charles A. and Louise C. (Ciccone) Lachapelle of Smithfield.
Mr. Lachapelle was co-owner and HVAC Service Manager for Lachapelle Oil Company in Smithfield. He was a US Navy veteran and proudly served his country for 11 years. During that time he was stationed abroad on different navel bases before settling in New England.
Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by his daughters, Amber Thompson of Marshfield, MA and Kryssa Lachapelle of Cumberland; his siblings, John and James Lachapelle both of North Smithfield, Ann Simbron of Greenville, Wayne Lachapelle and Michelle Jackvony, both of Smithfield.
Funeral Wednesday May 29th at 8:45 AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville. Mass of Christian Burial at 10AM in St. Michael’s Church, 80 Farnum Pike, Smithfield. Burial Private. Visitation Tuesday 4-7PM.
