Obituary

William J. “Ginty” Wiederhold, Jr. age 67 of Canton passed away at his daughter’s home surrounded by his loving family May 23rd. Born in Boston, he was a lifelong resident of Canton where attended St. John the Evangelist School and graduated from Canton High School. He went on to serve in the Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the DAV. He worked as an Electrician for IBEW local 103 for over 40 years and retired in 2003. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24 in Canton and was an avid hunter. Beloved husband of the late Judith A. (Tordoff). Father of Rebecca Wiederhold and her fiancé Daniel Souza of Stoughton, Audrey Gibson and her husband Kevin of Canton, Amy Wiederhold of Canton and the late Kristine Wiederhold. Brother of the late Paul, John and Alfred Wiederhold. Brother in law of Janet Wiederhold of Stoughton. Grandfather of Kalynn Souza and Kevin Gibson. Uncle of Linda Bethea and Laura Gillespie. Also survived by his longtime companion Elizabeth Galvin of Canton. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Tuesday morning at 10. Burial Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
