Obituary

Mrs. Mildred M. (Haskell) Riendeau, of Taunton, died Wednesday, May 22 in the Golden Living Center – Wedgemere, following a period of failing health. She was the beloved wife of the late William P. Riendeau. She was born 94 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Haskell. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as an aide at Greenlawn of Middleboro for a number of years. Mildred was previously employed at the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton. She was a member of L’Union St. Jean Baptiste, Conseil No. 53. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 son: Francis Riendeau and his wife, Irene of East Taunton; 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, and several nieces and nephews. Mildred was also the mother of the late William G. Riendeau of Taunton and the late Edward P. Riendeau of Yulee, Fla.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Jude the Apostle Church, 249 Whittenton Street, on Tuesday, May 28 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours are respectfully omitted. Arrangements are under the direction of The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home of Taunton.
