SAN DIEGO, CA: Alice V. Kelleher, 62, died Friday, May 17, 2013 following a fifteen year courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of David Kelleher.
Alice was born to Soledad Floresta and Julio Velasco, the fourth of ten children, in the Philippines. She worked for Asian Development Bank in Manila before moving to marketing positions in the hotel industry in the Middle East. Upon arriving in the United States, she worked as an administrative assistant with San Diego Job Corp in Imperial Beach, CA.
Alice’s loving, caring and pleasant nature will be missed by all that knew her, especially her beloved husband of thirteen years, David, originally from Beverly. The rest of her family, including her two sons, Glenn and William Velasco and grandsons, Kenneth and Jeter who remain in the Philippines, were always close to her heart. She was also survived by many brothers and sisters in the Philippines as including her brother, Armando of Toronto, Ontario and her sister, Eden of Spokane, WA.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 29th in the Grondin Funeral Home, 376 Cabot St., Beverly at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will be in the Beverly Farms Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
